Join the Phikul House calendar

Fill in the form, add the calendar as an Editor, then optionally show it in Apple Calendar on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. It takes about five minutes.

Part 1

How to join the calendar

  1. Submit the Google Form

    • Open the Phikul House Sign-in Request form (button above).
    • Check that your email address is shown correctly, or type it in.
    • Press Submit.

  2. Install Google Calendar (phone users)

  3. Open your confirmation email

    Check the inbox of the address you entered. Look for this message:

    Access Granted: Phikul House Calendar Editor Add Phikul House Calendar

  4. Accept the invite and add the calendar

    • Tap the blue Add Phikul House Calendar button in the email.
    • Google Calendar opens in your browser.
    • When it asks Add calendar?, choose Add.

  5. Check that you can edit

    • Open Google Calendar and find Phikul House in the left sidebar, under My calendars or Other calendars.
    • Click a time slot and create a test event.
    • If you can type details and press Save, your Editor access is working. Delete the test event afterwards.
Part 2

Show it in Apple Calendar

Finish Part 1 first. Then pick your device and add your Google account so Phikul House events appear in the built-in Calendar app.

Modern iPhone and iPad (iOS 16, 17, 18 and newer)

  1. Open Settings.
  2. On iOS 18 and newer, tap Apps, then Calendar. On iOS 16 and 17, scroll down and tap Calendar.
  3. Tap Calendar Accounts (iOS 16 and 17: Accounts).
  4. Tap Add Account, then Google.
  5. Tap Continue and sign in with the same Google account you used for the form.
  6. Make sure Calendars is switched on, then tap Save.
  7. Open the Calendar app and tap Calendars at the bottom. Tick Phikul House under your Gmail account.

iPad: the steps are the same. Calendars is a button at the bottom or top of the Calendar app.

New events go to the right place. When you add an event in Apple Calendar, set its Calendar field to Phikul House. Otherwise it saves to your own calendar and the house will not see it.

If something looks wrong

Troubleshooting

Phikul House does not appear in Apple Calendar

Open google.com/calendar/syncselect on a computer, sign in, and tick Phikul House. Wait a minute, then pull down to refresh in the Calendar app.

I cannot save events (view only)

You may have opened an older invite or signed in with a different Google account. Sign in with the address you put in the form. If it still fails, submit the form again and use the newest email.

I did not get the confirmation email

Check spam and promotions. Confirm that you typed your email correctly in the form.
